On Saturday I was at the Columbus Zoo helping out for their earth day event. The zoo had us setting up in their activities pavillon. Inside there were probably a dozen different tables set up with different organizations like us, Ohio Soil and Water Conservation, Stone Lab, Sierra Club and more. Now, the event usually draws in between 15 and 20 thousand people, so I was expecting a busy day. However, due to the weather conditions, I think they got less than a thousand. So I got to spend most of the day talking with my mentor and the different volunteers she had set up to come and help. While it may have been a long day, it was a fun one. I really enjoyed getting to talk with my mentor and the volunteers.
